Bob joined McCahan, Helfrick, Thiercof & Butera in September 2006, with 20 years of professional experience in tax and accounting in the bay area. After beginning his career with the San Jose office of Arthur Young & Co. (now Ernst & Young), Bob has worked in both corporate (industry) tax and public accounting with local CPA firms. Bob’s expertise is in tax planning and compliance for all types of entities, including high net-worth individuals, researching client-specific issues, and providing tax technical assistance to the firm’s professional staff.
Bob received his B.S. in Accountancy from California State University, Fresno, and his M.S. in Taxation from Golden Gate University. He is a member of the California Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs.
In his spare time, Bob enjoys traveling, attending music festivals and concerts, and supporting Santa Clara University athletics.
